He had blonde hair and gray-greenish eyes. I watched the way he would scratch the back of his head while he was concentrating on his work and I watched the way he would laugh with his friends. I looked to my cousin Alice who sat next to me and sighed. "This is getting really bad. Why does he have to be in all our classes?" I asked her, as I scribbled down notes. I glanced back to his table to see him smirking at me briefly before turning back to his work. I blushed and tried to pay attention to Proffesor Binns.

I was trying my hardest not to fall asleep. Binns' class was so boring, and who really cared about the history of magic? I always thought if you could do magic, it was good enough; there was no need to learn about how it's evolved through the years. "What?" I said, not sure if I heard Mira or not. In Binns' class, I tried to block out everything. "Oh," I said with a laugh, her words finally catching up to me. "Yeah, I bet it is. If only my love could have classes with us." I said dramatically, trying not to draw the other students' attention. I was too busy drawing on my parchment to actually take notes, but I tried to make it look like I was.

I chuckled and stood up as we were dismissed. "Well, maybe if you didn't go after guys who were older than you." I said with a smirk. I grabbed my bag and walked out of the classroom. "So are you excited about Hogsmeade this weekend?" I asked her as we walked to Defense Against the Dark Arts. Although, that class was sort of the opposite. With Umbridge as the teacher, it was like we were in first year all over again.

"Hey, I will like who I want to like." I said, my voice growing quieter as we passed George and Fred in the halls. I knew they wouldn't know I was talking about George, but still. I worried about a lot of things. I managed to squeak out a hi as I walked passed them. "Of course I am! Anything to get away from Hogwarts these days. Umbridge is so...." I started, but then got paranoid she would be able to hear me from across the room. "It should be fun, right?" I said, smiling.

I shrugged. "Should be. I'm looking forward to going to Honeydukes. I could go for some serious sweets right about now." I said, thinking about spending another Saturday night with a good romance book and a box of chocolates before dreaming about having a chance with Draco. "Who knows? Maybe we'll run into the twins at Zonko's." I said, smirking at her. I glanced up as Draco walked into the class room and held his gaze as he walked to his seat. I sighed. He had to know I liked him and yet he did nothing about it but keep that damn smirk on his face.

I felt my face flush. "No, I don't think I need to go there for anything, really..." I said, and watched as Mira followed Draco with her eyes. I sighed; I never understood why she liked him. He was a jerk and I didn't see what was so great about him, really. "Eww, still in love with him?" I asked quietly, smirking at her.

I rolled my eyes. "I'm not in love with anybody. I don't even know him. I don't even think we've exchanged so much as a 'hello' in the five years we've been here." I said and sunk lower in my seat. "I think we should go to Zonko's." I said quietly as Umbridge started her lesson.

I could feel my face getting redder and I tried to stop thinking about running into George at Zonko's. I had these dreams of him sweeping me off my feet, claiming he's always loved me from afar, and he and I getting married. And Mira mentioning going to the one place he would be made me think about those dreams. "Fine. But I'm not saying anything if he's there." I replied.

I chuckled. "I have an idea." I said and paused as Umbridge grew silent to write on the board. When she was distracted again, I turned to Alice. "If you can sum up the courage to talk to George before Saturday, I will talk to Draco." I offered, trying to make things interesting. "And if you don't....you have to color your hair blue." I said, glancing at her blonde locks.

I let my mouth hang open at her bet. I didn't want to dye my hair blue because I think it would look incredibly stupid and my mother would kill me, but I also didn't feel like I had the nerve to talk to George. "Uhm... sure. But, if I have to dye mine blue, you have to dye yours pink, since we both would have failed at talking to the boys we like. Deal?" I asked.

"How bout we just say if you don't talk to George, blue hair. And if I lose my nerve to talk to Draco, pink. And 50 silver goes to the girl who asks their man out on a date." I added with a smirk as I glanced over to Draco's table. He looked like he was trying not to fall asleep. I didn't blame him. This class went from unforgiveable curses and a death eater as a teacher to lack of spells and examples.

"Well, I guess I won't be getting the money." I said, and hoped Mira wouldn't ask Draco out since I didn't have the money to give her. I looked at the board Umbridge was writing things on and zoned her out as she began talking again. What good was a class that was all lectures and no real learning? My father would go crazy if he found out how the class was being run, but he was just a Healer with no influence to change things, so telling him to complain to Dumbledore would be useless. "You gonna stare at him all day?" I asked, elbowing her lightly.

I adverted my gaze quickly and watched Umbridge write an assignment on the board. "Ugh. More book work. When will it end?" I thought about the 'bet' and half chuckled. "You know, I don't think either of us would be getting paid. I'm already getting nervous just to say 'hello' to him." I thought for a moment before continuing. "It has to be a real conversation by the way. Not just a 'hi/bye' kind of thing. Five minutes minimum. Deal?"
