I nodded, and began looking around. I found one and picked it up. "How's this?" I asked, holding it up to Sayid's. It was only a little shorter, but I didn't think it mattered.
----------------------------------
I shrugged and followed her in. "I came here to swim, not to wade, dollface." I smirked.

"That's perfect." I said, taking it from her and carrying it around. "So, why were you in Australia?" I asked curiously.
------------------
I rolled my eyes, took a few more steps, and dove in. I swam a little further out and smiled. It was nice to go swimming. And the water was absolutely beautiful. "God, Sawyer. Gotta take so long getting in." I mocked and winked at him.

"Just visiting some friends. They were supposed to get on the plane with me, but they opted for the flight which would be leaving today." I replied, pausing to hand another stick to Sayid. "Why were you there?"
----------------------------
I laughed and swam in after her. "Y'know, you could've been wearing white. Gimme something to work with here, sweetheart." I said, smirking.

I took the next stick from her and paused, thinking of how to word it. "Visiting an old friend, much like yourself." I said, not mentioning anything to do with the death and why he died.
---------------
I laughed. "Sorry babe. I'm not that nice." I said and swam away from him.

I smiled. "Yeah, but your friend won't be expecting to meet you in LA, huh? If we ever get off this island, they're going to be so mad at me." I said.
----------------------------------
I swam after her. "Aww, come on. I know you can be." I smiled.

"Don't you think they'd just be happy you're alive?" I asked with a chuckle. I knew she was just kidding though.
-----------------
"Maybe. If you give me a reason to be." I said swimming away again.

I laughed. "Yeah, I know they will be." I said, and stopped walking. "Can we rest for a minute?" I asked.
-----------------------------------
I groaned. She was too much work to crack. I swam after her and wrapped her in my arms. "Try to swim away now, sweetheart." I said, laughing as she struggled to get away.

"Sure." I said and paused. I pulled out a bottle of water and handed it to her. "Thirsty?" I asked as I leaned against a tree.
-------------------
I struggled to get out of his arms but he wouldn't budge. I glared at him. "Fine, you win. I can't swim away from you now." I rolled my eyes.

I took the bottle and smiled. "Thanks." I said, and took a drink before handing it back to him. "Sorry, it's hot and I couldn't breathe that well. I'm okay now."
-------------------------------
"Well, that's one thing I win against." I smirked, and let her go. "But I won't take you against your will."

"I understand. Heat can do that to you. You probably got dehydrated." I said and took a long drink of water.
-----------------
I laughed. "Thank you, Sawyer. So, nice of you." I said and patted his face.

I nodded, and smiled at him. "Why are you being so nice to me? I tried talking to one of the girls last night, and she just glared at me. No one but you is talking to me." I said.
----------------------
I rolled my eyes when she patted my head. "Don't expect it to happen again. I'm goin in, I'm tired of swimming." I said, and turned to swim away.

I shrugged. "Well, why not? I don't see why people should be rude." I said to her.
------------
"Whatever." I said and swam away from him again.

I shrugged too. "I guess they figure we won't be here for long." I said, and brushed the hair from my eyes. "Sorry, I hate talking like this. Let's continue."
-------------------------------
When I got to the shore, I looked back, expecting her to follow me. I was kind of disappointed when I saw her still swimming. I decided to go back for her, afraid that she'd drown or get taken away by the current if she swam out too far.

I smiled and continued walking. I found one last stick that may be suitable. "Here we are. Now we can make camp." I said smirking.
-----------------
When I turned around, I saw him coming back. "Get a little hot?" I asked, chuckling.

I smiled with him. "Is there enough for me to make a tent, too? It doesn't look like there are...sorry, that sounded rude." I said.
----------------------------------------
I scoffed. "I was worried about you. Don't need anyone drowning on me." I replied.
