I laughed with her. "Don't worry. I was in the military. I'll protect you." I assured her with a smile. I knew I wouldn't let anything happen to her. She was special.
----------------
I smirked to myself and stopped for a second, grabbing his arm. I stared up into his eyes. "Then take me right here, right now." I said, giving him my best seductive eyes. I was bluffing, of course. I just wanted to see the shocked look in his eyes when I said that.

I smiled back at him, a bit relieved to hear that. "Really? What'd you do?" I asked.
-----------------------------------
I stared at her for a moment, not sure if she was being serious or not. When I realized she was joking, I looked away and cleared my throat. "You know sweetheart, that's not something to joke about. If I were any other guy, I would, but I don't wanna do something you don't." I said. "Wouldn't be as fun for me." I added, with a smirk.

I forced a smile. "That's a story saved for another time." I said and continued walking. "What do you do? In the real world, that is." I added, hoping to stay away from the military topic. I didn't want her to know what I've done so soon.
----------------------
I grinned. "Did I hurt you're feelings, Sawyer?" I asked jokingly. I very obviously wanted to kiss him. But that was only because he saved my life and he was an extremely attractive guy. But I didn't want to start something I wasn't ready for.

I shrugged the military topic off. I didn't know him that well, so I really wasn't in a position to make him talk. "Well, I'm a journalist, but I'm more into psychology. I like getting into people's heads." I said with a laugh. "I wanted to work with serial killers, but my mom said that was too dangerous. So, I became a journalist, hoping to cover a story about one." I replied.
-----------------------------
"Hell no!" I shouted, looking away from her. "What makes you think that? You think I get hurt easily? I just met you, there's nothing wrong with you not wanting to sleep with me now. I'll find some beer, though, and then we'll have ourselves a party!" I said with a smirk.

"Ah, a journalist? Have you done any really exciting stories yet?" I laughed a little as I looked around. "I bet the one about us will be a big hit. Whenever we get off this island." I joked and grabbed a bottle of water off the sand. We were back to where we'd left our things. I stuffed the tarp into my bag and looked at her.
--------------------
I laughed at him. "Sawyer, let's just go for a swim." I said and walked further down the beach, past some trees that stuck out. I didn't want to have to be reminded of the other people while I was trying to enjoy myself.

"No, I wish." I said, shaking my head. "I thought one about a burglary at some big-timer's home would've been good, but someone beat me to it." I said, and laughed with him. "Yeah, I could see myself writing one about us. Although, I'm not in a big hurry to leave here. It's so pretty." I said, and caught myself staring at him. I broke eye contact and looked out at the ocean again.
----------------------------
I threw my arms up in the air and sighed. "All right, sweetheart. Just don't forget about your promise you made earlier. If we're far enough away, why don't we skinny-dip. That should be fun." I said with a laugh. I was joking, of course. She didn't seem like the kind of girl to do that.

I chuckled. "Well, when we get back why not just take a vaccation to an island?" I asked smiling and I sarted walking towards the jungle.
----------------------------
I laughed and rolled my eyes. "No, no skinny dipping. I'm not THAT into." I joked, wondering if he'd catch on that I just admitted it.

"It wouldn't be the same, I'd be going alone. My friends are mountain people." I said, and smiled. "Plus, you wouldn't be there." I added, and it took me a second to realize what I said. I quickly looked to the ground, mentally slapping myself.
--------------------------
I smirked, thinking about her statement. "Alright sweetheart, but you will one day. Trust me." I said, and looked around us. No one was really close to us. "This okay for you?" I asked, poking fun of her, and how she wanted to be away from people.

I smirked at her. "Well, maybe if we ever get off this island, I'll go with you." I offered, although I doubted if we were here long that I would want to ever see another beach again.
--------------------
I ignored his first statement then rolled my eyes. "Are you making fun of me for not liking people?"

I looked at him, a mixture of surprize and happiness on my face. "Really?" I asked, not sure if I was hearing what he was saying or what I wanted him to say.
--------------------------
I laughed. "Not at all. I just wanted to know if this spot was okay, or if we should go to the other end of the island for you." I said.

"Sure." I said with a smile. "Now, let's make camp." I looked around and realized that we were the only ones really starting to.
---------------
I rolled my eyes and put my clothes on a rock nearby. I stripped off my clothes so I was just in my bra and underwear--thankful I didn't chose to wear a thong on the plane ride-- and walked towards the water, trying to avoid his gaze.

I nodded. "Alright. Uhm...I don't really know what kinds of logs I'm looking for, honestly." I said, feeling a little embarrased.
-------------------------
I whistled as she walked in front of me. "Well, damn, princess. You should walk around like that more often." I smirked.

I chuckled. "It's not a problem. We just need to find some sticks, maybe five feet high. It's a decent size for a tent." I explained as we walked into the jungle a little farther. To keep her from getting too nervous, I kept us close to the tree line.
-------------
I blushed slightly and walked into the water. "Well, are you coming?" I asked, raising an eyebrow at him. I kept walking until I was at my knees.

I smiled. "Okay, so only a little shorter than I am, then." I said, and laughed a bit. My height always bothered me, I was always the shortest of all my friends, at only five-three.
----------------------------------
I jogged a bit to catch up to where Emma now was. "You goin in or just staying here?" I asked, resisting the urge to throw her in. I just smirked at her, and kept looking her up and down.

I smirked. "Well, it's mostly only sleeping at night. It's not meant to be walked around under." I told her and picked up a rather large bamboo stick. "This is a decent sized one. Let's find a few more of these."
--------------
"Why are you so impatient? Why not just enjoy it?" I asked with a smile. I took a few more steps in.
