I sighed, walking to my seat. I was traveling alone since my friend changed her mind about going to live with me in Los Angeles. Frickin Gina...she's not forgetting this. She wouldn't come since I wasn't flying first class. Well, excuse me for needing to save money and go with coach. I put my things in the over-head compartment and took my seat. I decided to use this time to people-watch, one of my favourite hobbies. I've learned a lot about my friends way before we said our first "hellos". It's not that I like stalking them, I just like watching them. People have always interested me, so that's why I became a journalist. At least now I could talk to them about their lives, and not just watch them and try to figure out what they're like. Psychology and journalism go hand in hand with me. I noticed all the attractive men first, as I usually did. There were at least three on the flight that I saw, and I looked away fast as I saw one look over at me. I noticed a woman being brought on in handcuffs, and I sunk down in my chair a little. I always hated criminals; it didn't matter what they did, I didn't like them, and I've always been a bit scared of them, honestly.

((I'm going to use different colors for my different characters.))
I walked on to the plane and to my seat carrying with me only a small purse. I sat in my seat and waited for my sister to put away her rather large carry on. I don't know why but she insisted on packing at least two outfits in her carry on alone. Her reasoning was "What if they lose my luggage?" I merely rolled my eyes at her. It's not like it's ever happened to either of us or anyone we know for that matter. She finally sat down and buckled her belt. I glanced around at the people around us. We were seated behind an older couple it appeared. An interracial couple. I glanced at Jamie and noticed her staring at a man ahead of us. He had a practically shaved head and was dressed in a nice suit. I didn't understand people who dressed nicely on a plane. I would have worn sweatpants if I could find them.
I sat next to my sister and drummed my nails on the arm rest. I looked up when someone in front and across from us sat down. I felt my heart speed up. This made me happy. I had a decent guy to stare at when I couldn't sleep on this long ass flight. I slouched in my seat, getting comfortable and smiled. This wouldn't be as bad as I thought.

Just as I was about to put my iPod in to fall asleep, a man came and sat down next to me, the same man that I had been staring at moments ago. I could feel myself turning red and, even if it was only slightly, I looked away, staring out the window. It was one of those times I was glad I had a window seat. It gave me an excuse to look away from him. 'Calm down, Bails, what do you will ever come of you if you chase every attractive man you see. They have a name for that.' I thought, and switched my iPod on. This way he wouldn't bother me and I wouldn't look stupid. I was way too shy around guys, one of my flaws.

I tucked headphones in my ears and closed my eyes until i felt the seat beside me move. I opened my eyes to see a scruffy sort of man in a leather jacket sitting beside my. I gave him a half hearted smile and put my head against the head rest. I knew already that it was gonna be a long flight.
I sighed and glanced at the guy who was sitting on the other side of Emma. I nearly glared at her. Of course she gets to sit next to him. He was cute and she got everything. I didn't voice my opinions though. I just smile sweetly, almost flirtatiously at the guy and sat back in my seat.

I felt the plane start to move, so I put my head against the headrest and closed my eyes. It was going to be a long trip, and I hated flying. I liked to sleep for as much of the ride as I could. I don't know how long I had been sleeping for, but I was woken up by a jolt of the plane. I immeditaley took my headphones out, and looked around. Others were starting to panic, so I started to as well. Wouldn't want to be the first one to. "Just put your seatbelt on. Everything will be alright." The man said next to me. I struggled to put a smile on. "This is why I never fly." I said, and tightened my seatbelt. The last thing I needed to do was go down into the Pacific Ocean. Wasn't planning on dying this young.

As turbulence hit, I took my headphones out and looked at Jamie who was sound asleep. I swear, she could sleep through and earthquake and a tornado put together. I nudged her awake. "Jamie, put your seatbelt on." I urged her. She was my little sister and I was protective. I looked around anxiously as it got worse. I felt a hand on my wrist. "Don't worry. I've heard turbulence gets even worse over seas." The man beside me said, sounding calm. "Everything will be fine."
((don't feel like posting for her now. lol.))

((lol))
I begun to feel sick as the plane was thrown around in the sky. At least, it felt like it was being thrown around to me. I hate rides at amusement parks, so why should a plane be any different. "I hate flying." I mummbled. The other man chuckled. How the hell could he be so calm during this? And if he wasn't, he was acting like he was. "Don't worry. It'll be over soon." He said as the oxygen masks dropped from the overhead compartment, and I put mine on. Just as I did so, I felt my eyes closing. I must have been hypervenalating, because I don't even remember the plane hitting the ocean. I passed out.

I felt it as the back of the plane flew off and I screamed. I put on my oxygen mask and looked to see if Jamie had done the same. I looked just in time to see her pass out. I cried out her name and got her mask on her as I felt the plane desending rapidly. I looked over at the guy beside me and I felt the tears running down my cheeks. He held my gaze until we hit the ground. Then everything went black.
((wake up in the sand i suppose?))

((Yep!))
When I finally came-to, I immediately felt heat. I groaned, opening my eyes. The sun was glaring down at me, and I heard people shouting and crying. I sat up slowly, making sure nothing was broken. I felt my head, which was hurting badly, and pulled my hand away, my fingers covered in blood. I groaned again and lied back down. "No, sit up. There's a man here that says he's a doctor. He can help you." Someone said, and I opened my eyes again. The man who was sitting next to me on the plane was kneeling next to me now. He took my hand and eased me up, putting his hand on my back. "I'm Sayid." He said, and I forced a smile. I was in too much pain to truly smile right now. "Bailey. Nice to meet you." I said.

I woke up in the arms of a man who was carrying me. He seemed to be limping almost and he was having trouble. I opened my eyes slowly and looked up to see the guy from the plane was holding me. He was carrying me on what looked like a beach. I could hear screaming all around me and what sounded like fire and heavy machinery moving about. I tried to sit up in his arms but that made him nearly drop me. "Whoa, easy there little lady." He said in a rough voice. He sounded hoarse, but like that wasn't his normal voice. He set me down in the sand and sat down next to me, catching his breath. I tried to sit up but he put his hands on my shoulders, stopping me. "Nuh,uh. You gotta stay put. You hit you're head pretty hard up there." He said and stood up. "Where's my sister?" I asked frantically. He sighed. "Someone else got her out." He pointed to a spot about ten feet away. "She's fine and breathing." He said and walked over to check on her for me. When he returned, he had a cigarette in his mouth and a zippo lighter in his hand. He sat down beside me and lit it. "I'm Emma." I said quietly. "Sawyer."

Night fell quickly. I wasn't sure how long I was laying on the beach after Jack, the doctor, looked at my head. He said we were low in medical supplies, but he used my jacket I was wearing to wrap my head. Now I was left shivering, with a ripped up jacket, and I was sitting at a fire with a man named Charlie and Sayid, still too shocked to say much. "You think they would have come for us by now?" Sayid said, and Charlie and I looked up at him. "Who?" Charlie asked. "Anyone." Sayid replied. I looked back towards the fire, trying not to cry. "I hope they come soon." I said.

I held my sister in my arms as she cried, scared. She was still in a shock from the plane crash. Sawyer and the doctor came over, bickering. I looked up at him and I noticed his eyes soften. He sat down beside me and wrapped his leather jacket over my shoulders. Jack kneeled down beside Jamie with a warm smile. "Hey? You ok?" He asked and I could tell her was worried. I was too. She hadn't said much since the crash and Jack said she got pretty banged up. I held her tighter and she gripped my arm. She gave him a weak nod and he handed us a bottle of water. "You guys need to keep hydrated." He said and walked off to check on other people. I looked at Sawyer. "Are you ok?" I asked, he smirked. "Of course I'm ok, NAMEHERE. Nothing can tear me down." He said, sounding cocky. I couldn't help but chuckle. This made him smile and I realized that was the point.

"It'll be okay. Someone'll find us." Sayid said, and I nodded. "I can't believe I surviv--" I started, but was cut off by a loud noise from the jungle. It sounded like metal being crushed together. "What's that?" I asked, as everyone turned to look towards the forest. Sayid and Charlie got up and started running towards it with others. "Wait!" I shouted, but by the time I got up, I couldn't see either of them. It was too dark to. I was running with my head down when I ran into someone. "Oh, sorry." I said.
