I grinned at her. "Don' worry Lillian. We understand. You're not used to us pirates." I assured her, patting her knee.

I smiled hoping it didn't seem too forced. "I still feel terrible." I whispered to her, and looked up at Barbossa. "I'm sorry." I said.

I smiled at her and looked at Henry. "So, how's the crew?" I asked.

I took a swig of my rum, tryin to forget about what Anna said Lillian said about Barbossa. He knew what would happen to him if he tried to touch my daughter. He had heard me warn Jack enough. "The crew? Aye, they be good. Gettin old, though. We stay 'ere a lot." I answered. I wish we weren't; I really liked being out on the sea, but some days I got so tired.

I smiled at my father and noticed he was right. The signs were obvious; the man was getting old. He'd grown more wrinkles into his forehead and beside his lips and his hair had grayed significantly. His hat covered most of it but now it was easy to see how gray it had gotten. "Well, that's so unlike you. You're not exactly a 'land legs' kinda guy." I said, raising an eyebrow.

I sighed sadly, shaking my head. "A lot of me crew don' want to sail anymore. They're too old or too rooted 'ere. It'd be hard to man a ship with only three people." I said, and chuckled. "But look at me bein' weak 'bout this. I should still be out there!" I added quickly. I was embarrassed to admit all of this, even in front of my family. But maybe that's why I was embarrassed to say it, because these kids look up to me. Well, all but Lillian but I'm sure Anna would change her.

I smiled at my father, understanding his predicament. He didn't want to be weak for us, but he was getting old. It made me want to join his crew to keep him going. "Why not just find more crewmen?" I asked him.

I smirked, knowing that wasn't as easy as it sounded. Tortuga was a good place to go, but not many of those there want to work. A lot of the younger blokes wanting to come along didn't know the first thing about life on a ship. "I suppose I could go and find some, aye." I said. "Tortuga'd be me firs' stop." I replied.
